Cake and Coffee for MacMillan Cancer Support

Residents at St Mary Newington and lots of local members joined us for a coffee morning in support of Macmillan cancer support. The event  is held across the country and was a great way to catch up with friends and neighbours and raise some much needed cash for this amazing cause.

Residents Debbie and Tony made their now legendary scones and bread pudding.  We charged £10 as a minimum donation for unlimited tea, a slice of cake, a scone and some sandwiches.  The funds were boosted with donations made in memory of Fred and Joan Bishop.

Thanks to everyone who came along to St Mary Newington Close. The fundraiser is the second event we have been involved with this year in aid of MacMillan. Earlier in the Summer our Operations Manager, Lottie swam 21 miles in June and raised over £1,200.

A special mention must also go to Sue and Denise who helped set up.
