St Mary Newington Close

We currently operate a waiting list. As we undergo the redevelopment of Edward Edward’s house, our housing stock is limited to one site. We currently have limited opportunities for providing housing. We recommend you complete the application process for the chance to join our waiting list that is prioritised according to need after an evaluation and interview process.

St Mary Newington is scheduled to close for redevelopment in 2028. All residents will be moved to Edward Edward’s House, SE1.

Qualifications for residence

• • You are aged 55 or over & can provide photo ID
  • You have been living in Southwark for at least the past 5 years
  • Have limited income 
  • Are capable of living independently
  • Have savings, investments or assets of less than £16,000
  • Do not or haven’t owned your own home in the UK or abroad within 5 years
