Back to newsSouthwark Charities is delighted to report that a record 58 grants were committed in 2023 to community organisations and charities benefitting the well-being of Southwark older people aged 55 plus. Our grants supported a wide range of initiatives from the core costs of services delivery for older people to outings & parties for pensioners. Southwark Charities has demonstrated its commitment to voluntary and community organisations that support the wellbeing of Southwark’s older residents with a record number of grants committed. Community groups and charities have fed back that they find our application and decision-taking process supportive, light-touch, proportionate and quick.
